Founded by a lifelong gun enthusiast and competitive action pistol shooter, Jeff Abernathy leads the team with more than 10 years experience as a custom gunsmith. He first apprenticed under his father, Tommy Abernathy, also a gunsmith with more than 25 years experience and a career in the metal fabrication industry as a tool & die maker. Expert knowledge of gunsmithing, years of experience as a competitive shooter, and comprehensive knowledge of metal behavior and crafting are the key ingredients needed to be one of the top gunsmiths in the country. Father & son have established exactly that level of quality.
Following Tommy’s passing in 2008 and Jeff’s tenure at a major gun manufacturer’s custom gun division, Jeff now leads the way with the company’s signature TommyGun series, customized STIs which have been used to win dozens of competitive pistol championship titles.
